Dickie Lou's Story

After finishing Baylor (BA '67) I worked in the political arena in various places, most notably as press secretary for US Senator John Tower in Washington, D.C. from '73-'77. Upon returning to Texas I met and married a widower with 5 sons (Henry Kendrick) settling in Longview, Tx where two more sons were born. Worked several different positions then joined a natural gas pipeline company as contract administrator. After the company was acquired, moved to Houston where I've spent the last 20+ years doing con...Expand for more
tracts in the natural gas industry. In the meantime, Hank passed away. I met Jim Lamberth and married him last March. Problem was he lives in San Antonio while I was still living in Humble and working in Houston. As Jim says, we were getting lots of "Valero miles," not frequent flyer miles. Then I was recently force-retired and now I am living full time in San Antonio on Jim's (our) small ranch south of San Antonio with cattle, goats, llamas, horses, donkeys, water buffalo, blue heeler,,,,,and loving it.
